A Level Resources

A Level Resources

I’ve put together a page of resources for you to have a look at – these are all things that I used when I was doing my A Levels. Please bear in mind that I am now in my second year doing medicine and the curriculum has most likely changed in the last two years so please ensure the information on these websites is up to date with your course.

Maths: All about practice. Do as many past papers as you can and use them to understand key concepts. Once you’ve managed to do that, you can apply your knowledge to any question that might pop up in your exam.

For the A*, my teachers suggested trying the Solomon papers.

  • Maths Genie (Solomon Paper Resource): http://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/solomon.html

Chemistry: Important to understand basic, key concepts. The A* is definitely for those who have understood the basic idea and can then apply their knowledge to an unfamiliar scenario – a skill which is important in medicine.
